Cape Town to Dublin by Scooter – 2013
After a previous scooter trip (For the Red Cross Children’s Hospital) called THE GREATER TREK (around South Africa )went incredibly well – The guys have decided to take things to the next level… The plan is very basic - to travel to all the way from Cape Town to Dublin – Visiting anywhere along the way that holds photographic opportunities to fly the Red Cross Children’s Hospitals flag for them and get them valuable exposure & press opportunities.
This is a massive scooter riding expedition to create awareness about the amazing work done by the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. Four(4) extremely keen scooter riders will be traveling all the way through Africa – from Cape Town (South Africa) to Dublin (Ireland). The trip actually starts at the Children's hospital in Cape Town and moves all the way around the coast – visiting strategic places along the way The riders will continue through Africa (& the Middle East) to Europe, the UK and ultimately finish in Dublin, Ireland - After about 8 months on the road.
There will be NO support vehicle – just 4 passionate people on scooters traveling a total distance of over 35 000 km to do something good for a very worthy cause.

THE RED CROSS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
These guys do amazing things. We want everyone to know about them and about the amount of lives that they have saved. They see 250 000 patients a year. They even saved the life of one of our rider's daughters, with an incredible transposition of the great arteries operation, shortly after birth – Chris’s Daughter Blaze, is now 14 years old and healthy thanks to the corrective surgery. She would certainly have died if not for their timely intervention.

Trip Objectives:
1) To create and promote widespread public awareness of the good work done by the Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town, while meeting diverse people, from all walks of life in Africa, the Middle East & Europe - & to fly the Red Cross Children’s Hospitals special flag across the globe (at strategic points) - giving the hospital excellent marketing and press opportunities.
2) To document the trip by book and film.
3) To enjoy the incredible & life changing adventure - without killing ourselves...
